▶ The Test Icicles August 25th / September 29th
A year after the band’s last appearance at Angelstone’s 2011 Tournament, we continue to receive rave reviews about this high energy ensemble of rockers. We have decided to bring them back for 2012 in two engagements on the opening and closing Saturdays of the Tournament. From the driving riffs of Pearl Jam to the uplifting anthems of U2, the band packs a serious wallop and we cannot wait to showcase them to our exhibitors and fans in 2012.
▶ Julian Taylor Band September 1st / September 8th
The Julian Taylor band continues their long standing relationship with Angelstone and is slated to perform two back to back shows in weeks two and three of the Tournament. The band’s roots stem from their union formed in the late nineties through Staggered Crossing, one of the preeminent bands of that era. In 2010, the band opened Angelstone’s Blue Rodeo show in Ottawa and you may remember them bringing down the house at an impromptu after party at the Brookstreet Hotel. The band returns to Rockwood in 2012, with their highly addictive combination of rock n’ roll and groovy soul. JTB is currently regarded as Toronto’s hardest working band and have appeared across the country, playing hundreds of shows per year.
*Angelstone will be providing free shuttle services on Thursday and Saturday evenings from the Delta Hotel to the Showgrounds.
