Rules and Regulation 2012

The Angelstone International Show Jumping Tournaments are recognized member events of Equine Canada and are governed by the rules of Equine Canada Rule Book.

Every entry at a recognized competition shall constitute an agreement, that the person making it (which includes the owner, lessee, trainer, manager, agent, coach, rider, and horse) shall (1) Be subject to the rules of EC and the local rules of the show. (2) That every horse and rider is eligible as entered. (3) That the owner and any of their representatives are bound by the rules or EC and the show. (4) That they will accept as final, the decisions of the hearing committee on any question arising under said rules. (5) They will agree to hold the show, its committee, Equine Canada, their officials, Directors and employees harmless from any action taken.

The show management further reserves the right to cancel, postpone, change or reschedule any class or condition they deem advisable without notification.

Competition Days – Office will open one hour before the first class and close for adds the following day at 5:00 PM. This is to allow time for management to schedule the following competition day and make changes online. All changes for the following day will be posted online NO LATER than 10:00 PM.

Non-Competition Days – 10:00am – 4:00pm

Entries – One horse per entry form. All entries must have proper signatures, complete address, EC, OHJA, OEF or USEF numbers and passport numbers. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to provide proof of all necessary memberships. Any exhibitor competing without proper memberships will pay temporary membership fees at each competition. These fees will be non-refundable.

Numbers will not be issued until entry forms are completed and a form of payment is left with the office (Visa, MasterCard or check). All accounts must be closed out each Sunday before competing the following week.

Non-Showing horses – Must be registered with the office. Will pay an administration fee but WILL NOT be subject to a non-showing fee.

Closing Date – Closing date for WEEK1, WEEK2 and WEEK3 is August 1th 2012, closing date for WEEK4 is September 1st 2012. All entries must be faxed to (519) 856-1467 or mailed to P.O. Box 299, Acton, ON, L7J 2M4. Entries not received by this day will be subject to a late fee. If Tournament is full they may not be accepted.

Add / Scratch – Adds the day of competition will be subject to a $10 add fee. This is to allow us to make proper schedule and start times the evening before. Scratches will have NO FEE if scratched before the first horse competes in the class to which exhibitor is scratching. After the first horse has competed there will be no refunds.

Stabling – Stabling is limited. Priority will be given to circuit stalls. Prices do not include shavings. Please pre-order shavings and hay to ensure they are at your stalls upon arrival. Stall fees vary depending on number of weeks you are attending. Please see stall request form for rates. Exhibitors will be responsible for all stall reservations if not changed or cancelled by August 10th, 2012. Grand Prix horses MUST be stabled on grounds 24 hours prior to any class of $25,000 or more.

Arrival – Stalls are available no earlier than 12:00 Noon the Monday of each competition week. Please contact show office to organize earlier arrival if needed.

Day Ship ins – All ship in horses will be subject to a $25 fee. This fee is to cover clean up and facility upgrades in ship in area.

Feed and Bedding Orders – Must be made by 12:00 NOON to ensure same day delivery.

Payments – All entries must provide credit card number or check to pick up numbers. All accounts left open will be automatically charged to payment method provided. Credit card payments will be subject to a 3% surcharge.

Delinquent Accounts – Accounts left unpaid will not be permitted to compete at future Tournaments until all funds are paid. Outstanding accounts will be charged 15% interest per month until paid in full.

Cash Customers – A deposit must be left in show office to pick up number

Non-negotiable Checks – Checks returned by the bank for any reason will be charged a $25 NSF Fee.

Wash Racks – Horses must be washed / hosed in designated areas only

Refunds – All scratches will be subject to a $25 office fee and $25 scratch fee. Stalls are not refundable. Refunds will not be granted on Jumper Nomination after entry closing date, but will be granted on all entry fees if scratch is made before the class starts.

American Exhibitors – May make payment in US dollars at par as long as the US dollar has a higher value than the Canadian dollar. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to know and obey EC rules.

Prizes – Prize money will be credited to all accounts. All remaining prize money will be paid to the owner unless otherwise specified within 30 days of each Tournament. Please provide complete addresses for checks to be mailed out.

Hunters – Hunters must enter a division to compete and you must compete in the division to enter the classic.

Schedule – Schedule will be updated online by 10 PM the evening before the competition day. Management reserves the right to move classes up an additional 30 minutes from time posted online.

Numbers – Must be worn by all horses competing

Jumpers – Must pay $150.00 Jumper nomination unless competing in a division or class that does not require nomination. Nomination fee is non- refundable. All orders will be posted order. Please make every effort to follow the posted order. Classes WILL NOT be held for Trainer conflict. Please prepare accordingly.

Dogs – Dogs MUST be kept on a leash at all times while on the property. There will be a $100 fee for any disruption to competition caused by a loose dog.

Parking – All parking must be in designated parking area as per building inspector.

Golf Carts / Motorized vehicles – Must be driver by someone 16+ with valid drivers license.

Insurance – All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to a third party caused by themselves, their employees, agents or their horses. They are strongly advised to take out a third party insurance policy covering equestrian events.

Farrier – A farrier is available during competition hours.
